How to ask for a higher salary with a promotion

I would like to ask, what would be the correct wording when trying to negotiate a salary increase with a promotion?? How could I make the ask??

It might be as simple as asking if there will be an increase in salary to accompany your promotion. If you think you'll have to make a case for the increase, share the new duties and responsibilities along with market research around typical rates for your new role to advocate for yourself. Something like 'Based on my research of similar positions as well as the additional responsibilities of XYZ, I would expect the salary of this new role to be in the range of X to Y. Is that possible?'
