Delivery items are turning into a pandemic lifeline and boredom cure

Can anyone else not wait for their delivery items to come?? My husband and I are now only grocery shopping through delivery services each week, and I've never been more excited for food to arrive. I also can't wait for dumbbells, my latest bookclub read and more antibacterial spray to arrive. What delivery items can you not wait to arrive??

I'm trying very hard to not order anything until it becomes an absolute necessity - I think about all of the people in the supply chain affected by my purchase potentially putting them in harms way. From the people making the item, through shipping, delivery, postal/courier services each item passes through a minimum of 12-15 people all deemed "essential" with the potential of contracting the virus. Especially seeing news reports on the lack of protections for workers at Amazon and the courier companies. Food deliveries here are really difficult to get a time slot - some are 2-3 weeks in the future, so I've been trying not to use those to save the slots for people who are unable to shop themselves due to a higher risk of infection. That said, I get very excited when mail arrives, unfortunately it's usually a bill. :)

I hope you are sanitizing your delivery items! I am grateful that we can order stuff online and it magically appears on our doorstep. I ordered an outdoor lounger so I can get some sunshine- vitamin D is essential for immune system health, and most of us don't have enough in our systems.

Seriously! Its the most exciting thing I have going on, next to calling my grandma and laughing about all sorts of stuff. I ordered some books I needed, some books I wanted, and a bracelet!

I have always been an avid reader. It allows me travel and understanding of cultures and history. I have a wide genre of what I read and many writers feel like bffs!
