Job Search Dilemma

I left my job earlier this year after only 2 months as the job was horrendously understaffed and the remit of the role was very different from what was explained to my in my interview. I am struggling with whether to leave the job on my resume, or to remove it. The only issue is my last job prior to that was July 2018 and abroad in another country. I am not sure what will hurt my chances more - an even larger employment gap or a short stint at a company?

Though 2 months can be considered a short amount of time, if you picked up new skills during that time, then it might help strengthen your resume. Given the fast turnaround job market with a large contingent workforce, it's pretty common and reasonable to see frequent job changes nowadays.

I'm not sure which would be better, but keep in mind that your resume is NOT a legal document, just a highlights reel. You can frame your experience however you need to and get noticed. (An application, on the other hand...) So you could try it both ways, depending on the job you're applying for.
