I have a coworker who I learned dog sits and lives nearby. I've discussed it with her, and she said she would be more than happy to board my dog when we go out of town (as long as do a meet and greet with her dogs, my dog is the only dog who doesn't come to the office because he doesn't act well on leashes.)
I also discovered that she has an account on Rover for dog sitting and found her prices (browsing, not stalking). They're a little higher that what we normally pay, but because we don't have any other options, I'm considering asking her if she would be available for 4 days (Wed-Sun).
In general, are you supposed to tip people who watch your dog in their own home when taking a vacation, in ADDITION to the amount agreed?
If she quoted me a price below her Rover fee, I was planning on giving a 20% tip (which would coincidentally be the price without a discount.) But if I don't and I don't leave a tip, does that look bad for me as a coworker?
