Start your own business where you can work from home, however, make sure to incorporate your business if you decide to go this route. I started my own business that is incorporated as an LLC in my state, and I run it out of my home. I have a background in business and in bookkeeping/accounting, so I started my own bookkeeping firm and will also be adding tax prep services to it in the near future. Score.org is a great resource if you decide to explore becoming self-employed and opening your own business, they can also set you up with a free mentor to help you in a variety of areas. It's a great free resource, and beside providing free mentors to small business owners and to those that are thinking about becoming small business owners they also have a lot of really great recorded and live webinars at their site and a lot of great articles on a variety of topics and subjects to read, too.

Following! As much as I’d like to work full time outside the home, I’m starting to think part-time from home might be a better fit.

Look for companies that deliver online education or tutoring, perhaps even ESL or a foreign language if you have those skills. Here's a step by step plan for landing a remote job that may be helpful to you: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/7-step-plan-land-remote-job-sandra-z-diaz/
