It wasn’t a problem for my husband (boyfriend at the time)! I was really nervous because having personal space is very important to me. But my husband worked at the same company, on a different floor, within different departments... so we never really saw each other. He was really helpful with professional support because we didn’t work with each other often but learned the secrets on how to connect with colleagues at home.

I have done it twice and I would recommend against it for various reasons. Main reason? Economics. Putting all your eggs in one basket (the job and company) can be nerve wracking. Think of the worst case scenario; i.e., the company goes down and both of you are unemployed. Second, it does not provide enough personal space and growth space for the two of you. The list is long and I could go on and on. In short, I would say either of you go elsewhere because at the end of the day, people in the company are going to compare the two of you in terms of your skills and what you have to bring to the table - both personally and professionally.
