Is the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Putting Your Finances at Risk?
Every day, we are learning about more cancellations due to COVID-19. Every tourist attraction that is closed, every sporting event that doesn't take place means employees being furloughed or losing their jobs. The result is a snowball (or domino) effect. In many instances, this is effecting many related industries: hotels, restaurants, transportation.
Experts are predicting a worldwide recession, maybe worse.
Yesterday, I published an article on LinkedIn about this (https://lnkd.in/gJm9XNP), which includes a 3-step plan people can use to help mitigate their own financial risk.
The first step is to do the preparatory work for a job search. That way, if your job ends, you can get into action immediately.
My question is: What are you doing to plan for the possibility that you will lose your job because of the current economic downturn?
