Hi! I was recently assigned as the account manager for one of our clients (1-2 months now). However, it feels like we have not transitioned 100% since the client and my colleague (previous account officer) is still discussing about our projects offline.
We can to a point where we had an internal misunderstanding, and I proposed to have all offline discussions be in writing and shared to the team (especially to me) as I am the one in charge on the account as ai believe it would be beneficial to know ALL DETAILS to establish credibility once I am on the nego table. However, one of our superior is not fully supporting me on that proposal, and there's no other solution laid out.
They kept on saying that I need more time (probably years) since I am new. I am in the company for 3 years now and I had quite experience in handling other accounts which I believe does not have any difference in handling other accounts that will be assigned to me.
I am thinking of quitting the position / job, but is there other way or option that you can share? Your thoughts?
