Is customized customer correspondence still in use today
I have noticed over the past few years more and more correspondence wether it be a letter, postcard, or even an email addressed as a reply from a customer that companies are using what sounds too much like canned or formed letters or mass produced replies. Just over the past seven days I received the same letter dated February 19,2020 from the same company. There has been many times that I have received notices to forward a message that I sent via email to forward it to another email address that I already did when I sent it out the first time. I have been receiving recall notices from a automobile manufacturer for a car that I have not owned for over eight years. I have written to them multiple times and I keep getting them. Do companies rely solely on their computer systems to handle customer correspondence and not bother with individually created communications or how do they do it now a days? It has been just a few years but I can't see a good reason for eliminating personal attention.
