How to go to college with no money

I really want to finish college (I went for two years and quit when I had my daughter, who is now almost 21). I have outstanding student loans that I am slowly paying off, but I really want to get a degree. How do I do that without having to pay more loans?

Schools often allow payment plans to pay out of pocket. Also, ask about resources for "non-traditional students."

This sounds all too familiar. I developed a strategy in college that lead me to start saving wherever I could. Ex: I stopped buying my own coffee and made my own... That saved me over $3/day which sounds small... but that alone saved me over $1,000/year.

I didn't even think about working there, that's a great idea! Thank you!

hi anon, i think some colleges let you go for free if u work there! also there are some companies that will support you to go to school. maybe doing school full-time will be difficult with working but if you are not in a rush, you could go to school part time. hope this helps!

Sorry to hear! I applied for federal and state grants to help with my college tuition.

I actually had grants as well when I went back in the day. I just also maxed out loans because I didn't know any better. I will look into grants now, though. Thank you!
