Looking for job that let’s me stay at home with baby

Hi everyone, I am looking for advice or recommendations on where to find a stay at home job that pays well. I am a special education teacher on leave for the moment with baby. I am Bilingual, and I also have a masters on educational leadership. Any info is welcomed. Thank you.

I have friends who work as teachers through VIPKID--since the kids are in China, the time difference means they are working in the wee hours of the morning, when baby is usually sleeping. That said, I wouldn't do that until baby is on a regular sleep schedule. Otherwise, if you can swap baby watching responsibilities with someone for a few hours each day or a few days each week, there are a lot of teach online or curriculum creation jobs out there.

One very important factor to consider if that you cannot watch your child while working unless your work involves childcare. You need to seek work which can be done while someone else watches the child either alternative hours to a partner or have someone come in while you are working. There is no such thing as working while watching a child, it's a myth.

I agree completely. You can perhaps make it work once in a while if your kid is home sick for the day, but it's not feasible every day.

This is good to keep in mind. I've recently heard two stories from women in my network who have had to fire remote employees for repeatedly being interrupted by children in the home. That being said, I work freelance and that is not an issue, since I can work while my daughter sleeps. Perhaps you could find freelance translation projects on sides such as UpWork?

As a teacher who is bilingual, are their any opportunities for online teaching in another country? I had a friend work with foreign students teaching English online for a while. Good Luck!

** I am currently working on a program to help utilize technology in the classroom. The program focus is more for students with special needs and early learners. Hope this helps a little more.
