Can I get some words of encouragement?

Hello my dear ladies. I am having a hard time this week already with keeping my head up after receiving two rejections on a single day. I am looking for a new job after taking a sabbatical that started in March. It is so tough to keep my head up and would love to feel some encouragement from y'all. How do you stay motivated in times like this? What is your go-to strategy or method? Thanks for this lovely community.

Taking a sabbatical is such a gift, although it can make the return to the job search tougher. I returned to work after a 1 year sabbatical, and it was a struggle to find the right opportunity. But once I did, I realized all of those others paths were dead ends to lead me me to find the path I was meant to go on. I'm on the exact path I need to be now. When you find your right opportunity, you will 100% look back on those rejections and think, I'm so glad I didn't end up there, because then I wouldn't be here, which is exactly where I need to be. :)

I think it is important to focus on your strengths during this process and remember why you are a valuable. Keep going out there and forget about the past rejections. Right now, they mean nothing. It is on to the next opportunity. Best of Luck!!!!

Sofia a big hug for you coming all the way from Canada. And if you are talking about some motivational words-- Babe if at this moment you feel that this is the worst that could happen to you, nothing can go more wrong and you have just hit the rock bottom, then its a great good sign. If worst has already reached the rock bottom then there is only one way and thats way up. Brace yourself you gonna bounce back to the pinnacles and shine. Shit happens all the time, just flush it, don't stare at it, spray some fragrance and start a fresh..... Cheers!!

Within the span of a month, I received the same advice from two of my mentors framed from two different angles so receive if / as it feels right: 1) You're as stupid about this as you will ever be. (Kind of stung at first but felt like a relief the more I dug in to my next steps.) 2) You are the best you have ever been. (And you will just keep getting better, Sofia!)

Soffia, just trust that you are not alone. I am with you as well. Also, look at any rejections as blessing. You dodged a bullet from a company that didn't recognize your awesomeness. You'll get hired soon.

This one just makes me laugh because we all have bad days. "Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward." The feeling of rejection sucks but those companies clearly don't deserve your awesomeness!

I posted this to my desktop to help stay motivated when I have been rejected in the last six months of unemployment. Its tough out there but you have to believe the ebst is yet to come. Here is why rejection may be a GOOD thing. 1. They got back to you. So many people don't. It is better to be rejected outright than to be left hanging. You can now focus on other opportunities you have. 2. Every time we get rejected, we really get redirected to something better. 3. "NO stands for Not Over. Just flip the word and keep ON trying." Great quote by Talal Al Murad ❤ 4. Their inability to see your value says a lot about them, and nothing about you. Go where your talent, experience and loyalty are appreciated.

If something isn’t going my way, I take a step back and breathe. I know I’m not at my best if I’m trying to force my way through something. Just have faith it will happen in time and take a breather. I also use tough times as a reminder to to spread some extra love. I try to give extra compliments, walk dogs at a local shelter, etc. Even something as small as dropping a few pennies to spread good luck can change someone’s day for the better! (“When you have a bad day, a really bad day, try and treat the world better than it treated you”) Also if you search #bossbabe there are a ton of great motivational picture-quote things!

I am speechless at your insight about how putting kindness and good energy and positive wishes outwardly is a way to show faith and gratitude and to slow down a bit... come out of our own darkness. And you betcha I will use that hashtag!! Much love, darling!
