Melatonin is amazing... Also, CBD oil. I have never suffered from insomnia, but had some hormonal issues that made sleep difficult and both of those have helped me.

This is a bit of a tangent but one thing I've found is that if I have trouble sleeping for some reason (e.g. too much caffeine, excited about something, nervous/upset about something), I can console myself that the next night or two I'll probably make up for it since by then, I'll be so exhausted my body will just fall asleep. At least that's what happens to me. ...doesn't help with any specific night but helps me to keep that truth in the back of my mind that sleep can recalibrate over longer periods than just one evening.

Along with all the other above tips, I find that working out in the morning helps so much with sleeping. Working out in the evening has the opposite effect - it takes my body a while to wind down. Getting in a morning workout helps make you physically drained and ready for bedtime!

My steps are: - no naps after 7pm - no caffeine after 5pm - white noise or low music - no screens in bed - melatonin 3mg just after dinner and another 3mg right before bed - if none of that works and it's 2am... masturbate. You'd be surprised how well a release works to knock you out. (Y'all, someone had to say it.)

Tips for insomnia 1 melatonin is natural and you can take upto 3 pills (sleep aids) 2 listening to nature music like those apps that offer ambience sounds like rain beach waves snow falling on pine trees etc 3 reading a good book that makes u think of answers to fill In the blank or a good horror/novel/ or romantic story 4 if u have a lot of energy to burn off exercise before bedtime helps as well where u do alittle and feel the workout to mini shower and then Fall quickly to bed , 5 avoid all distractions turn off cell phones and gadgets to sleep mode so you. An have uninterrupted rest and ease into a meditation state where u can stay there and fall asleep....sometimes incense nice soft scented candles work wonders too

Sometimes I put a cloth in the freezer that I have sprayed with lavender, then I put it over my eyes when I am trying to sleep. Doesn't put me to sleep but it calms me down

I've struggled with insomnia here and there. Melatonin oddly made me more awake and gave me crazy dreams so that was unhelpful, but I recommend unplugging from technology a bit before bed and using a sound machine!

I hate those nights where every time you look at the clock its closer and closer to the time you need to get up. I have insomnia at least 3 days a week where I get no sleep at all, lately I have been listening to a sleep hypnosis app and meditation music while I am trying to fall asleep, so far it's working.

Have you tried reading a really dense or classic book before going to bed like something written by Jane Austen or Charles Dickens? Also have you tried meditating and eliminating noise and stress inducing activities before getting ready for bed?

I've struggled with insomnia for a VERY long time. I've tried various medications, over the counter measures like melatonin and valerian root, but they only seem impactful for me in short bursts. Ultimately, I think unplugging from my phone, social media, and the news about an hour before bed is the most effective thing I've done. Give it a try!

Thank you! The melatonin doesn’t work well for me, either. But these are good tips!
