Cookbooks!

Does anyone still use cookbooks or do you get most of your recipes online? *If you still use cookbooks what are some of your favorites?

I love cookbooks! A couple of years ago, for Christmas for my girlfriends, I had a cookbook made of all our favorite recipes and pictures of us throughout. It's one of my most favorite things!

Serious Eats is one of the best places to look online for recipes- it really tells you how and why the recipes work flavor wise and scientifically :D

I have a very food-stained "The Spice & Spirit of Jewish-Kosher Cooking." I pull it out when I need holiday classics. Oh--and "The Cookie Bible." Although that one I just like to look at the pictures!

I get most of my recipes online, but I still have my mother’s Joy of Cooking just in case...

I love a good cookbook. Some of my favorites are the Skinnytaste series. None of those recipes have done me wrong!

I've been taking the challenge to create my own with inspiration from current recipes. I have a dairy/gluten allergy, intolerance to soy and a plethora of other sensitivities. Most of the time, I take current recipes off the internet and swap the ingredients for whole foods, fruits, vegetables and alternative flour if baking. My favorite swaps so far are cashews which I use to make cheesecake!

I do both. I still have one of the first cookbooks I bought when I left home (Betty Crocker spiralbound), but I am a BIG fan of America's Test Kitchen books. I like the explanations behind them.
