Networking Advice

I am packed with events for the next few weeks and was hoping to get some networking advice that has worked for you. I've read articles and feel like I work a room quite well, but how can I do it better?

Getting their contact information and actually following up are the 2 big steps for me after going to networking events.

Great question. Our comfort level is to network with people we know and like (or at least for a lot of us). Some of the best networking conversations I've had was with people who don't have similar backgrounds or points of view as me. It's helped me expand my network and enhance my general perspective.
