Resume help suggestions

Looking for help to articulate the last 4 years at my company (in a start up under a Fortune 500) along with refining my previous experiences. Where do you go for help? Or who do you enlist? Appreciate any insights.

I always enlist the help of friends or family who have a good eye for detail and talking you up. I think it's sometimes easier to have someone else's eyes on this, especially if they're familiar with the work you do, industry, etc. Happy to help review too!

A well-reviewed resume coach. I highly recommend my friend at Morley Career Solutions based on the trajectory change she's made for clients. (My motivation for this post is strictly to connect two people in a mutually beneficial way; I will not be compensated for this referral.)

I do a lot of "investi-Googling." I start on LinkedIn with writing out what I know about my role. Then I look at the original job description (if I have it) and add the skills and duties that applied after day 1. Then I look at other similar opportunities out there and make sure my background and skills include everything I did, and that the language is close to what current employers are looking for. When I put together my resume, I try to keep it to one page, as long as it's visually interesting. No one wants to hire Word Salad Girl. Bring those older experiences and skill details to page 2. I keep listings for individual previous roles or skill sets to 3-5 bullet points that are relevant to the role I'm applying for. I always have a link to my LinkedIn page at the bottom of my resume in the footer (so it's on every page) and I save as a PDF to maintain formatting no matter where I send it.
