I was working with a company when I received a job offer from Company XY, which led me to resign from my current role. Shortly after, my father was diagnosed with cancer, and I immediately informed my senior about the situation. They assured me that the company is "people-driven" and offered support. I requested a week of work-from-home to manage the situation, and this was initially approved. However, after just two days, my senior insisted that I should resign due to my family issues, despite explaining that my father was doing much better. Feeling pressured, I eventually resigned. Now, I'm facing the challenge of explaining this situation on my CV, as I’ve changed jobs twice in six months. I have ongoing EMIs and am trying to figure out the best way to move forward without being penalized for this job change frequency. How should I address this gap and explain it professionally to potential employers, without it negatively impacting my career?
