continued learning/education suggestions

I am interested in taking an online course and/or online certification to improve my communication and public speaking skills. Does anyone have any suggestions for top rated or reputable options? I would love to be able to add it to my resume and so I wouldn't mind paying and investing time for an excellent program. Just for background purposes, I do have a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing & International Business.

Hi Crystal, check for local Toastmasters Clubs in your community. For a nominal fee, you get to practice public speaking and receive real-time feedback. www.toastmasters.org

Hi! Developing confident and effective communicators is my specialty! As an adjunct communication professor, behavior analyst, and leadership coach, I teach and support students and professionals who want to be better communicators. Currently I'm working 1:1 with clients, but I have some group workshops coming up soon. Let me know if you want more info. If you want an immediate group experience, I would check Toastmasters. That's a great way to build speaking skills. (Hopefully they've pivoted to a virtual format.) If you're not sure what to do next and want to have a conversation, feel free to reach out here or via thrivepotential.com.

Data science and analytics course would be extremely useful with a business administration degree. LinkedIn has great courses on that.

I believe LinkedIn has several and it's credited to your profile as a course you completed and skill set you obtained.

Are you looking for a certificate or an additional degree? If you are looking for a certificate in communication and public speaking, I would search if there are any existing programs, and which are the most reputable.

I use coursera.org. They have an excellent selection of classes and subjects from many different universities. I just finished with a round of MOMA classes. Every art student’s dream to attend a Museum of the modern arts!

And, I believe, they are offering more free courses during COVID-19.
