Is Generosity Just for the Holidays?
At this time of year everyone always talks about being grateful and generous. What about the other 10-11 months? Generosity doesn't mean money. As John Maxwell says "Time is more valuable than money because time is the most expensive thing you can give." You never get your time back. There are so many ways to be generous in our professional lives that can happen all year round. 1. Assist a coworker with a project or task 2. Share your knowledge or skill with others either one-on-one or in meetings 3. Publicly share and give credit to others And my personal favorite...Be a Mentor. As women it's so important to support and mentor other women. Over 60% of women who are mentored will in turn become a mentor, and anyone can do it! Also if there is someone you look up to that you wish would be your mentor, just ask! Most people are flattered and if they have the time, will most likely say yes. What ways are you generous throughout the year?
