I feel like my manager is being passive aggressive.

He was hired above me about a year ago in an executive position. He started out nice - consulting everyone about what should be done and how and planning things out with his leads. However, as time progresses, I feel like he is transitioning into a micromanager. This becomes more evident when he is under pressure from other executives.
A few months ago, I helped him interview someone for my team. A week before the new hire joined, when it came time to discuss seating arrangements etc, I found out that he is starting a new parallel team.
More recently in team lead meetings, he's been asking for volunteers for things that should clearly be my team's work. Initially, the new hire put their hand up. But he doesn't have the experience and is overwhelmed with what is on his place.
In a meeting yesterday, he tried to ask another lead from some unrelated team if he would like to do some work that clearly falls under my team's responsibility. He politely refused and pointed out that my team should be handling it. He then asked me to add it to my team's list of tasks.
I am not sure how to interpret this. He seems reasonable when we speak face to face. But he is not communicating necessary information - me and my team finding out critical information too little too last minute is a frequent pattern. It feels like he is trying to undermine me and my team.
If that is the case, I'd rather go somewhere else. I don't enjoy working in toxic workplaces and I am not feeling good about what he is doing. Should I be polishing my resume? Is confronting him privately a good idea?

Gatekeeping at a new job, what do I do?
I just started a new job as VP at a small but quickly growing organization. I was told that I would be training under a more senior person for a period of time and then eventually transitioning to my management. This person is a highly-paid contractor. Over the first few weeks, I've come to realize that they are gatekeeping and not including me in everything. They are also not open to my input and are trying to firmly cement their power base, even though they are supposed to be leaving or transitioning away from this role soon. I have a meeting soon to provide strategic recommendations to management but am concerned about being truthful about the situation since I believe they are a trusted resource. How should I handle? My sense is that people that are not perceived as strong don't last long at this place.

I work as a CSR for a city utilities, I've been in my position 9yrs.
I used to enjoy my job and even though my boss was not nice it wasn't terrible. Two years ago the office had a management change, and it's gone downhill since. 3 persons quit and 3 new persons hired. Only 2 left with job experience and we are treated like the enemy. I cannot stand my job anymore and at 63 I am in a spot, I really want to quit but need an income. I've been applying for new employment for 2yrs with no luck or thousands in pay cut. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I was recently terminated from my job, but I was not notified and had no prior write ups.
The job is at a hotel and the way I found out was because I tried to use my hotel discount and my employee number didn't work anymore. I emailed my manager regarding this and she responded by saying they filled my position due to me not having enough availability, this is how I found out I was no longer employed there. It is an on call position, and there are other employees that work once a month or once every few months. I was working 4-6 times a month minimum, nonetheless there was no hour requirement when I was hired.
Is this legal? To be terminated without notification/prior write-ups. I am located in Massachusetts.

Ever been unreasonably terminated and found out karma prevailed?
I worked at this role from 2017-2019 starting as Accounting/Analyst and they added Licensing Director. We were a medical collections firm. In it for the job, not the practice (another topic of its own.)
I was hired as the Accountant/Analyst but the Licensing Director quit and "surprise"!! I said fine and accepted the role as job security. My predecessor was extremely disorganized for having to maintain licensing for 50 states - all whom had 50 different sets of regulations. The other part of my job was - amongst other tasks - reviewing insurance bills for HR to confirm anyone billed on the company plan worked there. This is 7/2017.
FF to Oct 2019. Company bought and new people. I saw it coming.....I'd eventually be out.
In December, I am asked to put together a package of all the licences and a status (current, needs renewing, etc..). I had long ago cleaned up my predecessor's mess (filing system was a Xerox box and papers tossed in like trash) into 50 binders for 50 states organized by year of renewal with all the supporting paperwork and an interactive Excel WB to go with it including conditionally formatted by current date of yellow within 4m of renewal and red within 2 as it takes up to 30 days and can't expire (WB included links to the PDFs of said documents). One could basically filter by red and yellow and IMMEDIATELY know a status. Including websites, contact info, etc etc etc. Anything one would expect for one-stop licensing research at a glance.
Essentially a glowing improvement with a shiny red ribbon.
I presented this to the new manager and he asked- after vocalizing his happiness- who did the work so he could meet them personally I politely said "glad you're happy with it, I did all this - and added - it's nice to meet you!"
Next: "you're lying; no way are you smart enough for this!" I was stunned because a)he didn't know me from Eve and b)my manager said she praised me (I received periodic bonuses). Next day: I was out with a 2m severance.
FF to Jan 2021: company was long sold to the new manager people and they assumed it all. They added me to the insurance policy for the employees -- except I didn't have the OLD insurance - on a different plan outside the organization. And no one bothered to check monthly that I was working there and paying my monthly premium for the company.
I received a letter at home from Humana - or whomever - saying my insurance with the company was coming to an end effective 2/2021-- two YRS after I was terminated!!!!!!
Karma. I guess I was smarter that they thought! And by the way, I read some reviews for them: they went downhill

Bullying by the means of the “silent treatment “
Last year I taught history for a teacher on maternity leave at a private school. From the beginning, I was undermined in front of students and parents. It was a mob of teachers and staff involved. Here are a few things that occurred:
An internal phone call with heavy breathing ( I traced the call from the front desk)
Yelling and screaming at me in front of students.
Told that I was inadequate, although students, parents and board members said otherwise.
And to circle back to the heading,; the silent treatment. I got cold stares all the time. When my contract was up, the Assistant Head did not even say thank you or even a “ goodbye “, even after I sent an email thanking everyone for the opportunity and well wishes. That said, I got a ton of cards from parents and students thanking me for my help. And few board members commenting that I am a great teacher.
All and all, I am confused and very hurt.
