I have been doing some freelance while getting over shoulder surgery but not enough to make ends meet and falling behind. I went to a employer for a third interview for a position and this is their third attempt to fill the position in the last year. This time they came to me and the administrator is new, and I think that must of been who was blocking my hiring the first two times, or why would I be asked now if I would be interested in coming in this time? But now here it is Thursday, and I haven't heard a word and I was told that they would be making a decision first of the week. They even had me fill out my background paperwork so I wouldn't have to come back if I was hired. Which I know, I took as a good sign but that was no promise. But am I wrong in calling them up and just saying, Can I please ask, have you by any chance made a decision on who you were thinking about hiring for the position? Because I was told when I was there last Thursday that they had one more interview on Friday and then would make a decision first of the week. SO.... That's my Question, Is that being pushy or just keeping my name in their face? HR peeps. Feedback???? And sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. I am a newbie here but definitely not new to working from home or doing the dance up the corporate ladder. Any advice would be awesome and appreciated.
