Asking manager to do pro bono work during work hours
I've come across a wonderful opportunity to do pro bono/volunteer work, and there are a couple of reasons why I want to do it. The only problem is that the work can only be done during business hours and it's one hour a week. I am thinking of either taking an extended lunch break or coming in early/staying late one day a week to make up the time.
Does anyone have any tips for how to have this type of conversation with a supervisor? Thanks!!
