I have applied for hundreds of jobs and have had only a handful of interviews. I was recently introduced to Job Scan. You paste your resume and job you're applying for and they tell you how it compares and the likelihood your resume will get noticed.
Not only do we have to perfect our resume for recruiters, but we have to optimize our resume for applicant tracking systems. I'm frustrated because I got a very low score and I've updated my resume dozens of times. I feel like all those job applications have been a waste of time now. Looking back, I think the interviews I've had were with companies that didn't use ATSs.
