What is with the 20 question applications these days?? These are in addition to your resume and cover letter (which I already spent hours researching the company to craft relevant communication and adjust my info accordingly). I have had a few instances now in which I reach out to the decision maker on linkedin and they direct me to their "applications" with multiple questions that take hours to answer. I just counted 10 on the last one and they require in depth answers. Questions are centered around describing your work style, why do you want to work here, accomplishments, why are you the best person for the role, etc... They're all questions that are covered in an interview. I don't mind a few, but to put thought into these things takes hours. Isn't this what a conversation is for? Can anyone help me to understand this?
