Slowing Down

Ilive in another state from my children and grandchildren and siblings. I have a flexible job with good pay and am at a point in my life that I am content and just want to coast for the next 5 -7 years. However my employer is enthusiastic and has daily training and webinars teaching lots of new marketing techniques and is always adding more features that we should be using. I'm really not interested in learning al these new things since I'm not really focused on growing my business. I guess that is not true - I am building but through referrals from my current customers. Should I be changing my tune. I do attend a lot of webinars so I am keeping up with whats happening just not spending the money to initiate the services. Thoughts?

Thanks. I often feel that I'm looked down on for not attending so many of these new hot of the press ideas - thank God for webinars and social distancing; I'm not missed as much :)

Hi Sue, Thanks for sharing. This really resonates with me. I am exhausted from all the new marketing techniques and features. Personal referrals and email lists, in my eyes, will always endure. I would trust your gut, if you have a formula that works, stick with it. Staying apprised of the other options is good, but I agree you do not need to invest in them. I think companies are always looking for the edge, the new hip way to reach out to people and it is not always authentic to individual personalities. Hope this helps!
