Another division in my office has a large team with the same roles for each team. They just had someone come back to the same role on a different team after moving to another company for 6 months. I have first hand experience with what you are saying. I left a career path at a large company to do something in another industry. Well, the culture in the new industry was one of less autonomy, and the management team was so horrible, in too many ways to list on this post.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose! I have red flags I look for now - new experience is always good, and next time, you’ll know what to watch for. And…there’s always something you’ll miss. Wishing you the best!
