Take the job close to home for now, if you trust your gut. If you are hesitant ask for a meeting with the family or get it in writing so that you know you are not being taken advantage of. Work-life balance is so important, and if you are a mother who homeschools, 120 Miles is too far, and it doesn't sound Ideal.

I'm assuming the warehouse job is in person. If so, surely the factor of your son being alone for 5 days a month is being alone less than being alone every day. I'm sure you could also find some options near those offices for your son so he's not alone (for example, a homeschool co-op in the same city)

He won't be alone. He'll have to go back to school, which was a disaster before. But the in person job at least isn't finding a 12 hour solution for the days in office.
