I need some support, encouragement..rationalizing input.
I have been with my current company coming on 13 yrs. You have to understand the area I work is VERY rural, very little opportunity with employment, salary, benefits and 401k which I've secured. I've done my best to expand, suggest, encourage for a better and more successful company to no avail. I've outgrown my position and now just get more added to my plate. I've applied with 3 other non-profits and each was offered. Due to a cut in salary/hours, minimum benefits and no 401k.. I declined ea. Now I have an opportunity to work for an infant company 3 yrs. old, better salary, little benefits and not secured on the 401k. Do I hold out in hopes of change, current employees to retire who won't budge, work or give insight on progression or productivity in the company.. or do I leap in hopes of finding my love in a career change that entices me, energizes me once again in making communities better with what is so badly needed in such rural areas? Thank you ...anyone out there?
