Fiction recs?

I'm looking to dive into some fiction reading but I haven't read any novels in what feels like forever. It's been all memoirs and essays for a while, and while I love them, I feel like I need to escape. What fiction are you reading?

Yay! So I try and read a book a month.....definitely books aligned with my industry/business/leadership, BUT, every other month, FICTION!!! Or autobiography- something that doesn’t feel like ‘homework’ or ‘work’. So, the last book I read that affected me TO MY CORE, was All the Light We Cannot See - I wish I could write such beautiful words as the author. When the book ended, I actually had to sit in my feels for a short while, it was that beautiful, moving, well written. I have been told to read The Nightingale for a similar experience. Which is next on my list.

I read The Nightingale a few years ago and it's stayed with me ever since. Definitely recommend. And thank you for your recommendations!

I just read Unmarriageable, a modern day take on Pride and Prejudice set in Pakistan. It was great. I also read a ton of fantasy and romance — I share my recommendations on instagram.com/evajannotta!

I normally read only non-fiction and business books but last year I joined a neighborhood book club and I have really been enjoying reading and listening to audio books for fun again. I highly recommend Circe by Madeline Miller, it is a captivating and beautiful story of a goddess coming to age...since she is immortal she gets 1,000 years to process all the stages of being a woman. It's really well written and I think you will enjoy it. If you can listen on your library app or on audible you will really enjoy the reader's accent. Let me know if you like it.

I'm currently reading The Dutch House by Ann Patchett and The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I absolutely recommend ANYTHING by Diane Setterfield., she is utterly entrancing.

I definitely recommend The Night Circus. Easy to read, but super complex in ideas and imagery. It's like a beautiful roller coaster ride.

I've heard it's great! A student theater group recently adapted the book into a show and made an immersive circus experience, and that's where I first heard of it. Thank you for the recommendation!

I am not reading much at the moment BUT if you wanna read free stuff not published yet, check out wattpad, all different genres. Otherwise I like quick reads like grimms and other fairytale books and limericks.
