What do you do during your work breaks?

What do you do when you're taking a quick break from working at home? I've tried to whip up my own snacks (like making guacamole instead of just grabbing chips!) and have even called a friend just to check in for 5 minutes.

I like to chip away at chores so they don't take over my evenings and weekends. Swap laundry during one break, load/unload the dishwasher on another, stuff like that. Then I can focus my non-work time on the things I really enjoy!

Growing plants in a space behind my apartment building is something that I have been enjoying. When I am taking a break, I like to go see how things are doing down there.

I've been doing short dance fitness workouts on YouTube. A Zumba sing here and there, a quick arm workout from Tracy Anderson, or just turn on my headphones and dance in the living room or kitchen. Helps me get feeling in my legs again, and will hopefully manage some of the damage the cookies are doing :)

Echoing the taking-a-walk. I also play a game on my phone (Scrabble at the moment) or send a positive text to a friend or my spouse saying "thinking about you, hope you're having a great day!"

Meditate or take a walk for 15 mins.

Yep, stretching different body parts each break, and keeping hydrated, whether hot drink or meal smoothie

Either taking a walk, doing a quick workout or snacking. :)

Go for a walk, read a book or article, listen to music, make a quick call to my grandmother.

I have worked from home for often than not over the last 20 years. Here is my list of "I need a break" time fillers (now that I think about it, my "taking a work break" items seems to change throughout the day); In the mornings, I try get one or two household chores done (empty out the dishwasher, through a load of laundry in, make the bed). At lunch time, I sit outside for a few minutes or get an outdoor chore done (put out the trash cans, pull some weeds in the garden, play with dogs). I always eat lunch at my desk (which is a bad habit) but I always take a few minutes to breath some fresh air. Later in the afternoon, I prep for dinner (if dinner requires prep) or complete a chore started in the morning (fold laundry)

I normally grab some carrots or something else, though I do like the guacamole and chips!! I also stretch or do other quick exercise.....that always helps

Haha smart and healthy! I think the act of "making" something to eat definitely helps my mind take a little break.

I'm also learning that eating very small amounts of food throughout the day keeps my stomach happy vs eating 3 square meals and being "ha'angry" in between...lol
