As I see it, it meant just doing the bare minimum to get by.
My team ended up beating last year’s numbers as well as our current year plan.
Maybe quietly quitting for me actually meant focusing!

Somewhere I read that the average age for retirement is now 63 (I just turned 65). As I have studied Medicare, I understand now -- your add-on premiums will be based on your income the year prior to applying for those programs. Depending on when you turn 64, actually retiring now might be worth it in the long run, at least as medical is concerned.

Thank you. I need to start looking at Medicare options although my plan is to work until I’m 70. (I have some employment gaps due to recession induced layoffs.)

In some workplaces, you have to switch to Medicare at 65 so they don't have to pay your health benefit.
My plan is to work until 70, too. I got laid off at 63, with COBRA for 9 + 9 months -- which is why I had to investigate all this stuff.
