I like getting them 9 months after you applied for a job. I always feel like a dodged a bullet. Any company that far behind that is sending out boilerplate rejections is not being well-run or managed.

I agree. One time I applied for a job and didn't get the rejection notice until after the new hire was announced on their LinkedIn page. Really? Obviously, I didn't make it to the interview stage, so why not send the rejection email at that point? I'd rather you just send that auto rejection right away than leave me in limbo.

YES! I actually received a rejection 2 years after I applied. I was like-huh? Who is this? I didn't remember applying and clearly wasn't holding my breath!

YES, I have! I think it is a template, and they send out the same to all their rejections (they need a BETTER word).
