I know I need more self-discipline, better focus, and a stronger mindset to really stay consistent. I’ve started making small changes, but staying motivated every day isn’t always easy, especially when progress feels slow. ( I am 21 college student about to graduate next spring in undergrad) For…
In my previous positions this was frowned upon and this was not integral. But I’ve noticed when certain individuals ask me to do something. I would want to speak with my direct superior directly first. But these persons are or have no authority and go over my head and do not give me the…
I work in a unique department at a remote company where each of us on the team have vastly different roles and responsibilities that support the department as a whole. Unlike for instance, the marketing department or social media department where each person on the…
I’m trying to get serious about building a solid financial foundation for myself, but honestly, I’m not sure where to start or what steps matter most. I want to get better at budgeting, saving, and maybe even investing down the line, but it feels overwhelming with everything else going…

From experience, a manager who requests more than 1x a week one-on-ones do not have trust with their employees. They say great feedback and stuff, but there might be minor details that they're still hung up about and aren't communicating that to you. To sum up, a form of micromanagement and perfectionism. I had a manager that was like that, and guess what... 9 months later, slapped me with a PIP out of nowhere. On that PIP, it was all her concerns about minor details that does not even impact work performance. So like many others advised to you, please ask about the intention of these 1v1s, if there are any concerns that your manager isn't telling you, and start documenting evidence somewhere personally that you are meeting your job responsibilities.
