How about inclusion for workers with autism? Not all of us are coders. Some of us like to work in offices. Give us a chance. Remember diversity is meant to include EVERYONE.

Yes, please. I enjoy being a technical liaison between customer and engineer - so definitely no coding here --- or perhaps I'll leave tech behind and go into theatre - again: no coding. At work, I was included until I wasn't (company culture shift). I received feedback: you doodle, you make noises, etc. That was odd as I felt completely normal (to me). I explored and was diagnosed Autistic (the empathetic, extroverted type). Surprise! Now I am on the search for an inclusive workplace again. A workplace that will value my strengths (and help or at least tolerate my weaknesses - if "excessive" doodling is a problem, there are options other than ostracization).

I'm glad you found that. I had to leave my workplace due to harassment. Workplace didn't have a policy against bullying so I couldn't do much. I'm a female introvert.

Are you in a better workplace now? It stinks that the bully has the power in many workplaces and it's for the bullied to leave: Leaving behind our experience and contacts. My company has a channel for these type of things (I'm sorry yours didn't) and it's still an awful process. Although my bully left the group, my workplace remains hostile, and so I leave. Leaving.. leaving... any day now... must leave...

The bullies hold the cards especially in small towns where everyone seems related.
