I agree wholeheartedly with the recommendations to eliminate sugar. I suffered from severe mood swings until I started having digestive issues and investigating--and eventually switched to--a gluten-free diet. In the process, I also eliminated sugar and I saw an marked difference. Throw in a bit of consistent exercise and you'll be a new person.

I am sure it is just coincidence, but I slipped into veganism, kept the cup of coffee or two a day, the dark chocolate, homemade cookies, and chocolate milk made with almond milk. I do do less of other carbs like chips/crackers/breakfast breads, though

Eat healthy, get enough rest, and think before you speak. Cut out the sugar, back off on the caffeine.

I agree, sugar can be a culprit (even though we love it). I also try stretching as much as possible, small walk breaks when I can and I also wear control top undies. I know it sounds a little weird but the extra cushion provides warmth and a soothing sensation in the pelvic area where pain tends to generate from menstrual cramps. Hot beverages like hot tea can be helpful while working with PMS. Hope this helps!

Lower sugar intake! Insulin and estrogen are tied together and if you want to lower the impact our hormones have, highly recommending cutting back on sugar from alcohol to processed carbs to those sweets. It makes a tremendous difference!
