Handling my mom's loss of taste due to COVID?

My mom had COVID-19 and it was pretty scary. She went to the hospital and was sick for a few weeks. Luckily, she's okay! But she absolutely loves to cook and still can't taste anything. You can tell she's worries if and/or when her sense of taste with actually return. We live very close and she cooks a lot for my family, but you can tell she's sad about not knowing if her food even tastes okay. I want to cheer her up and make sure her passion for cooking doesn't go away! Any advice on how to boost her mood?

You could always make cooking/baking more of a family activity. That way, you can make the food together, and someone else can check to be sure the spices/taste are good throughout. I hope she gets her sense of taste back soon!
