Whistleblowing is a challenging position to be in. I suspect firing you was a pre-emptive strike to keep you from becoming one. They may have tagged you as one, so gather any documentation you still have about the incident you reported and conversations about your termination. Consult any licensing boards that could inspect the company for their misconduct and an employment attorney for you.
