Our healthcare facility recently changed scheduling programs, and the scheduler has decided that we no longer can see the entire schedule (as in see everyone’s schedule). Our staff is very unhappy with this. We like knowing who we are scheduled with, who is relieving us, and it make trades much easier. We also then know who should be there if they are late, and can contact them directly (usually to find that they are running late) instead of contacting the scheduler to then call the person in question, and then have the scheduler call us back.
For healthcare managers- what would be the best way to approach this to change things?
Everyone else - if you have a schedule that changes, is the entire staff allowed to see the full schedule or are they limited to only seeing their own?
And if only their own, what is the rationale?
