How do you build business relations?

What is the one thing that you do to build and strengthen your relations with your business associates? I for one follow some pretty basic  ways to build my business relations, be it a client, employee,  vendor, or any one else. I always ask for feedback and treat it in a constructive way such that it helps me improve myself. Another way is to give something to which my associates need but are not aware that they need. It could be an additional service or a small freebie, a thank you for your efforts, kind words, concerns, etc. Lastly, I make it point to get  in touch with them over email or call once in a while and just talk to them, ask them all is well, everything is going smoothly, is the weather fine, etc...Also, if I come to know that there have experienced something (either good or bad), just let them, say if my client gets an award, I make it point to congratulate them, or if the COVID cases rise in the area my client is, just ask them if all of them are fine and well...this goes a long way! What are the ways that you follow to build, improve and strengthen your business relations, do let me know in comments and let's learn from each other! Happy Learning :)

For me, the most valuable thing I have found is making a point of keeping communication lines open. Like you mentioned, just finding ways to have short conversation/interactions on a regular basis helps keep relationships strong.

These are great points Shweta! Thanks for posting. As an introvert, I find it hard sometimes to reach out to people (I tend to overthink it), but if I do come across something interesting that ties in with their interests I will share this as a way to stay in touch. I also really like your point about asking for feedback. It shows a willingness to keep developing in order to ensure that you bring your best self to your business relationships.
