At the one year mark ask them to review you and share with them a spreadsheet of what you have accomplished there. If they hired you to replace folks that were part of a RIF it is likely that funds are slim for a larger than wanted increase. Ask for a bit more than what you hoped for but expect at least cost of living and a small bump based upon your accomplishments.
