I’m having a very tough time not thinking and obsessing over how I was treated at my last job. I was on track for promotion this year, getting great feedback in writing from global heads and doing very critical work. Suddenly my manager changed and new manager removed me from each of these projects one by one. She then tried scapegoating me by making me work with a high conflict business and when I resolved their conflict and got great feedback from them in a couple months, she began micromanaging my relationship with them raising conflicts again. Lastly, she lied about me to her superiors and when I began reporting about my work to counteract her lies, she gave me a direct order to stop contacting her superiors (even though they said they appreciated the emails). I escalated all of this to the superiors, mentors (who tried helping me get a rotation which request kept getting rejected) and even HR and no one did anything. I’m now moving on to another job but having some trouble letting go of the fact that I had to leave a company where I was about to get promoted and getting great feedback from global heads and doing really critical work because of 1 person sabotaging my career for 2 months. Any tips on how to cope? Btw I am diverse and have faced hardships before at work that I just don’t see other colleagues facing.
