Found a job in US on my H4 with adequate training

I had a flourishing career back in India with a six figure salary and I was the topper of my University also who completed her masters with distinction. But then everything changed for me. I had to leave my ambitions, successful career and life behind and come to US to accompany my husband who accepted a job offer in US. While we were preparing to file for my H4, I had so many doubts and fears in mind like what would I do there. How will I make my entire career again from scratch? Will I even find a job related to my field? With all these thoughts, we finally came to US and life carried on. My husband was busy all day and apart from sitting at home and managing daily chores I had nothing much to do. I was feeling desperate and heartbroken because I missed those long working hours and professional challenges. Since I already had two masters, I did not want to pursue another full time program but I could not sit idle too. That’s when my husband suggested me to find a good coding boot camp and advance my career in IT field. He told me about applying for EAD (Employment Authorization Document) and start working. So without wasting much time I put my research skills to use and found some decent options that fit into my budget and schedule. Since I did not have my driving license, I wanted to go for online classes. Thinkful offers online courses in Data science, Software engineering etc and their rating was good too. General Assembly was also another famous name and some of my neighbour friends were also training with them at that time. They had good rating and provide short and long term both kinds of courses in web and mobile development, product management etc. SynergisticIT was another name that popped up a couple of times. This name was suggested by my husband because he had colleagues who got their coding courses done from them. They had online classes on Java, AWS, Mern Stack, Full Stack etc. Hack Reactor provides software engineering education and placement services and has 12 week full time courses. What I learned from my research was that getting a job in US is not at all easy unlike what those consulting companies’ ads make you believe. You really need to be on top of your game to be hired by even mediocre companies, forget the biggest ones. You definitely need help in terms of job search and finding a company that will actually give you good projects to work on and not just do dummy hire. With all that, SynergisticIT helped me. Thanks to their good industry contacts, I got placed as soon as I received my EAD and it’s been a year of my job and I have once again become a dedicated professional. I am happy with the progress I have made.
