Congrats on passing your real estate courses and becoming a realtor!! That's exciting. There are a lot of great firms out there to join; however, it's going to be contingent on where you reside. I would start with doing a basic research in your area to see what top brokerages come up in your community. Check to see if any of the brokerages have any hiring events coming up. It's a great way to get information about a real estate agency before you commit to signing on with them. As a first-time realtor, your angle should be aligning with a firm that you feel will support your journey not just on clientele level but also growing as an entrepreneur and realtor. I would also look at joining different real estate workshops, groups and events to begin broadening your reach in your area. The more people know you and know your capabilities, the better you can help build your business. Real estate life is all about the power of networking. So put yourself out there to get connected in industry spaces that will guide you. Also, another untapped sources of information about breaking into real estate is podcasts! There is tons of resources and information out there to help build your brand presences.

In my area there is a group (linkedin maybe) of women realtors. Maybe check that angle and connect through them.

Buying leads seem to work but the "trick" really seems to be making personal connections. I recommend wearing your name tag out while you're running daily errands (or even your branded shirt). Sometimes I forget I have it on and someone will ask me if I'm an agent

Congratulations on your success! As a realtor for 5 years, the key is connecting with seasoned agents! Here in SC, we have approximately 10 ladies that work collectively ( we are named the "Alliance" as we strive to assist each other and contribute to each others success. Also-- pass out cards to all who you meet. Period. Let others know who you are and what you do. Connect with me directly, I will be more than happy to assist. [email protected]
