What are your favorite new recipes that you tried during quarantine?

I'm Korean and prior to quarantine had never tried making my own kimchi! I always bought it at the supermarket. So, I decided to try a new thing and followed this recipe to make my own. It turned out great!! https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/kkakdugi Would love to see what other people have tried!

I'm the only non-vegan in my household these days, so I try to "veganize" as many dishes as possible. My granddaughter, who is ADAMANT about being a vegan, enjoys helping me turn out all sorts of yummy things - vegan johnnycakes and vegan pancakes are her favorites. Most of our cooking experiments happen on the weekends.

I tried making different types of kimchi as well! I've never been much of a baker but I attempted to make homemade strawberry shortcake and it was terrific! See recipe below if you want to give it a try: https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/easy-homemade-strawberry-shortcake/

I’ve tried new recipes such as cinnamon nut bread, buttermilk pancakes, Mexican lasagna and my new fav oven cooked brisket!

And so hosted a baking team building event for my HR colleagues on how to bake a cake. We all baked real time on Zoom to break up the work remote routine!

I have been making easy buttermilk biscuits and sharing them with my neighbours. I also have been making coconut macaroons. I love recipes that have 5 or less ingredients:)
