Along with 2 co-workers, I have been asked to plan a virtual holiday event. We are budgeted no more than $2/pp (600 employees). We have until Monday 12/9 to come up with something for senior management to approve. I am struggling to find something we can send to people like a sweater decorating contest or an online zoom (we have not had good participation when we did trivia and bingo in the past few months).
Our workforce is by and large very introverted, we work in academia supporting higher ed and many of our staff are older.
HELP! Any ideas. We cannot send any of the following or encourage this as part of the celebration -
Food
Alcohol
Drugs
Gambling (including casino style games)
Sharing of private information

Project Passport (https://project-passport.com/) hosts these wonderful online retreats with really fun interactive activities. They frame it as wellness, but our team was able to socialize and interact in a really fun way! The owner is quite flexible and could probably work in your budget to put something together!

You may find success with a cooking class, movie screening, play performance, or book reading with talkbacks afterward (ideally by the artist/producer/etc). Is there a book club already, or film everyone's been meaning to watch or would cheer folks up.
Because you have such a large company it's possible you could find it within your own group, maybe even put together a variety show - people are more likely to enjoy it when it's people they know.

well i guess you can arrange an online karaoke session on zoom. almost every body enjoy singing and it sure is interactive and you will get to know each other's tastes and personalities. so just arrange a playlist randomly and sing along. simple is it not? fun and entertaining! with no money involved! pfft hehe
