Real or Fake?
What do you do when you receive a message on your cell phone from a department supervisor late in the evening? I do not work for this company, but have applied for two positions with them. The caller did not say what position she was calling about or what department she was a supervisor of. Not wanting to intrude upon her personal time, I waited and call her back the next day. However, this incident has raised some red flags for me. When I return the call, there was no name attached to the two phone numbers she left. She did not leave her last name. Why did not someone from human resources call me? Is she really a department supervisor? I reached out to a trusted acquaintance to see if she knows anything about this. She works with the recruiters at this company and may have some inside into what is going on. How would you feel and what would you do?
