I've been applying and interviewing since October 2024. I got through to several recruiters who told me they would pass my resume to a HM, only to go cold after that. Whenever I would follow up, they respond with an automated rejection email.
I've gotten to the HM interview stage a…
I am trying to figure out what to say is the reason I want to leave my present job. The truth is the pay is low and I have so much work to do, I need to stay late one hour each day ( unpaid) to get the work done. Any advise? Thank you!
Here are a things to keep in mind:
1. Doubt doesn’t make you an imposter, it makes you human.
2. You’re never going to know everything - no one does. …
Since then, I’ve been actively applying for jobs but rarely hear back. When asked why I’m looking for a new job in interviews, I haven’t always been sincere, giving different reasons. Recently, I decided to be upfront and told an interviewer that I was made redundant. But their response thre…

Did you ask about it during your interview? what happens if the company moves to an in office mandate?
Can you talk to HR or your manager and say look - I applied for this role because it was listed as remote and it said that in my contract - The company is saying that that is not allowed anymore - Do I need to follow the company mandate - if so, can we find a compromise? 2 days in the office?
Since it's in your contract you probably have a leg to stand on.

Yes currently going through my manager and director. I have the contract and in the interview they said max 1x a month and now the requirement is 8x a month

Companies can change what they require post covid. So many went into survival mode and many allowed people to work remote while it was needed and now they are seeing that people in the office are needed more and more. I see both sides but the company who pays you can decide to make changes.
For example, I took a job with company A in the local city which was 10 miles from my home and perfect for child care, etc. They then decided to move to the suburbs another 12 miles further and having to cross a bad section of the interstate that is ALWAYS busy. This over doubled my commute - but if I wanted my job I had to go to the new location. While I would love to say I want to stay in the city - it is not my decision.
Caveat being if you have an offer or contract that states REMOTE then you have the ability to discuss further.

Yes the job posting said remote and the contract says “remote local”. Just trying to figure out how to navigate this
