Currently, my son's girlfriend works in retail. She's hard of hearing. The store requires masks to be worn. With this, it makes it difficult for her (obviously) to read lips. Her leader has made very demeaning comments to her - such as wear a mask that states "I'm Deaf", and also posted a sign that made her feel uncomfortable regarding her hearing. My questions are - should she report her leader, is this ADA worthy, would this be considered harassment or discrimination? Granted the world of retail is so different right now with the mask requirement - any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you.
