I am a 23-year-old, enneagram type 7. I would love to find a career that continues to intrigue me... I feel that I tend to start getting bored after a year at the same place.. I crave new experiences... The lifestyle of moving from one career to the next however does not quite foster benefits nor a steady income. Has any seven or someone similar experience this? And have advice?

Hi there, I'm an Enneagram 3 so I can relate to your need for change and accomplishing goals! I think there's a balance that can be found in your situation. A balance between consistently learning and growing as a professional but doing so without feeling like you need to constantly start over at a new job.
There are a few ways to do this:
1. Seek out new challenges in the role you're in. Take charge of your career and ask your leadership for new and different challenges as you feel ready for them.
2. Seek out new training/learning experiences. This could be tied in with seeking out new challenges but if you're at an organization that is willing to develop there people and offer training opportunities, this could be a good way for you to grow as well.
3. Teach others. As you grow and learn new skills in your career, you maybe able to challenge yourself by teaching and leading others as a way to grow personally.
I'd encourage you to get creative in seeking out learning experiences and new challenges before you feel you need to start over completely but keep in mind that it's okay to move to a new role or organization when the one your in no longer meets your need for new experiences!

There are definitely opportunities for that. You could consider working for yourself in order to have substantial freedom in your work schedule or you could work for an organization that values flexibility and allows you to travel. Maybe even a company that allows you to combine the 2!
I highly recommend reading The 4-Hour Work Week, whether you're interested in becoming an entrepreneur or not. He helped me to realize that it doesn't always have to be a trade of time for money and there are other ways to create income that aren't solely dependent on your limited amount of time.

Hi, I am an enneagram 5 but I am often challenged by my job as a communications lead. I often work on projects developing communications, streamlining processes, developing SharePoint sites, and reviewing communications for others. No day is like another. I would start with some self reflection, what are you passionate about? What would you do for free? Perhaps, you should look for a job in that space. Best of luck to you!

I’ve forgotten my enneagram number, but my advice is:
-Find a job that requires you to deal regularly with new transactions or clients and/or to meet with diverse audiences. Example: real estate broker or territory-based salesperson might be more stimulating to you than a job in accounting.
-Volunteer to take on new assignments or to expand your company’s reach into new products or markets.
You will be happier and shine more in a setting that plays to your strengths and naturally incorporates variety.
One caveat: you need to develop sufficient skills to embody expertise and move upward. So be patient at the start.
