I'm now in the job that used to be my goal, so what do I want next? These days, when I think about the future, all I think is that I can't wait to retire when I'm 60 (?), which is 12 years away, so that I can stop working and just read books all day. But that can’t be all I want. And I have too much to offer the world to just bide my time for 12 years. And what will I do when I retire anyway? I say that I just want to retire and read books all day, but that isn’t really contributing anything to the world. So I’m going to make a list of the times recently when I have taken on something extra — an extra project or task that inspired me that I took on just because I wanted to — and see if I can notice any pattern. Any other ideas or suggestions for how to figure out what my career goals are?
